To make an order on our website you must provide the following details: your real name (first and surname); your address; and your email address. Your phone number is optional but providing it ensures that we can contact you if there are any issues with processing your order.
We do reserve the right to cancel an order or suspend an account at our discretion.
Availability of Goods
We will try to keep the website updated to reflect current stocks but sometimes stock issues arise. Stock is sold subject to availability and should an issue arise we will contact you to make you aware. If your entire order is out of stock then we will process a full refund. If part of your order is out of stock then we will contact you to see how you wish to proceed.
Any order confirmation email received once an order has been placed is not a guarantee that delivery will be made.
If a product is out of stock we could offer an alternative but we will always make you aware of this and contact you in the first instance.
No compensation will be made for any out of stock products ordered.
Pricing of Goods
The prices of goods are subject to change without any notice.
Placing an Order
Once an order has been placed you will receive an automated email confirmation. Unless you hear back from us then this is our acceptance of the order. This email will give you an order number reference as well as a summary of your order. Please check through the order and contact us as soon as possible if you spot an errors.
The next email that you will receive is the dispatch email letting you know that we have now processed and dispatched your order.
We take payment immediately for all orders placed on our website. Payments are collected through our website using Shopify Payments which uses Stripe as its payment processor. We don’t have access to any credit card information.
The card you use is checked against your billing address to protect you from fraud. Shopify uses checks to make sure that your card is not being used without your consent. It may check against third party databases to confirm your identity and no credit check is being made. Your credit rating is not affected.
The cards accepted are Visa Credit, Visa Debit, Mastercard Credit, Mastercard Debit, American Express. Apple Pay can also be used if ordering using an Apple device.
We do not accept cheques or cash on delivery as methods of payment.
Refunds and Returns
You have up to fourteen days, beginning with the day after you received the goods, to cancel the order. To do so please either email us at email@example.com or phone us at 0131 448 1598.
You must keep reasonable care of the goods and, unless the goods were faulty or mis-described, pay the return delivery costs. A full refund including standard delivery charges will be made within at most 14 days if the goods are returned undamaged.
We want you to be satisfied with you order from Shibui Tea UK. If for any reason you are not, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact us at 0131 448 1598, and we will facilitate any returns.
Once an order has been confirmed on our website we will proceed with processing it for packing & delivery.
Orders received during the day are usually processed on the next working day. During sale or busy periods, or in exceptional circumstances – such as severe weather problems – there may be a delay in sending out the order and it may take 2-3 days to process your order. Please note that we process orders Monday to Thursday only. Orders placed on a Thursday afternoon through to Sunday are processed on the following Monday. It may not be possible to process your order if received on a Thursday morning but we will do our best to ensure it is.
Express orders received before 12pm noon are processed the same day.
In the UK there are 2 methods of delivery available – Standard using Tracked Royal Mail Second Class Post – or Express using DHL express service.

Currently due to issues with Brexit and escalating costs and paperwork I have had to halt delivery to orders outside the UK.

Limitation of Claims
Without limiting the scope of any other terms and conditions herein, any and all claims related to products sold to Buyer through the Website shall be made within thirty (30) days after receipt of the product to which the claim relates, or if for non-delivery, after the scheduled delivery date thereof. Buyer's failure to give Shibui Tea written notice of any claim within the applicable time period shall constitute an absolute and unconditional waiver of such claim. In no event shall Buyer commence any action against Shibui Tea related to products sold to Buyer through the Website later than one year after receipt of the product giving rise to such action.
Limitation of Liability
Without limiting the scope of any other terms and conditions herein, including Shibui Tea's disclaimer of warranties, no claim of any kind, whether as to products delivered or for non-delivery of products, or otherwise, and whether based on contract, breach of warranty, negligence, strict liability, indemnity, contribution, or otherwise, shall be greater in amount than the purchase price of the products in respect of which damages are claimed.
Disclaimer of Warranties
You are solely responsible for determining the suitability of the products for the uses and applications contemplated by you. You assume all risks and liabilities arising out of possession, use, or resale of the products, whether used singly or in combination with other material, including, but not limited to, any risk or liability based on alleged negligence on the part of Shibui Tea.
Shipping, Title and Risk of Loss
Shibui Tea will deliver your products using the shipping method selected by you on our website. Shibui Tea shall use reasonable efforts to cause products to be delivered to you by the requested delivery dates, but shall in no event be liable for any losses or damages caused by delay or non-delivery of products. Buyer shall be responsible for all shipping charges. Title and risk of loss in the products shall pass to you upon receipt of the goods.
