Grown in the province of Fujian, and also known as Pai Mu Tan, this is probably the best known of white teas. It consists of two tea leaves and a silvery bud and after plucking the tea is naturally dried in the sun. Long, silvery-white leaf tips lead us to amber infusion with mellow honey spicy notes.
Ingredients: Chinese white tea.
A decent white Peony at a reasonable price. Quite small particles but a good amount of whole and part leaf. Flavour is good. That quintessential peony, velvet mouth feel and good fruity flavour profile. Good value.
This tea is light and fragrant, I found it so easy to drink and loved it a little cooler than the usual 'hot cup of tea.'
Really lovely tea.
Really love this tea. Will definitely buy more, great value.
Am really enjoying this white tea again which has a delicate soothing flavour. The tea was very nicely packaged and as it was a birthday present to myself it was a special treat to get a nice birthday card enclosed along with some other samples to try. I am glad I found Shibui Teas as my previous supplier decided they were no longer going to stock White Peony and withdrew it from sale. I transitioned to their Green Tea but always hankered after the softer smoother taste of Peony White Tea. I am very pleased to have found Shibui teas and will now become a regular customer for all my leaf tea.
