Brewing Instructions

A bancha green tea platform mixed with whole roasted and popped grains of rice which gives it a roasted flavour. The japanese bancha is naturally low in caffeine.

Ingredients: Japanese green tea, brown rice, puffed rice.

Toasty taste.

Another fantastic tea from Shibui. Genmaicha has a warm toasty flavour within a subtle green base. It is gentle on the caffeine side of things so it's great if you're trying to keep levels low.

Brewing Instructions

The table below shows the approximate brewing/infusing times for the different tea types.

It assumes around a 2.5 to 3g serving but it is not an exact science so experiment to find the perfect brew time to suit you.

It is best to use freshly boiled water - so if you've got some water left in your kettle from before - pour it out and start again!
