Giving Back    

As a company, we are committed to helping the environment and are a proud member of 1% for the Planet. We want to give back to the planet that provides all our resources and this scheme allows us to donate 1% of our annual sales to charities which help protect the environment.

Our chosen charities that we support are The Marine Conservation Society, The Woodland Trust and The John Muir Trust.

The Marine Conservation Society: through campaigning to stop pollution and succeeding in wide-spread beach litter cleaning, to securing safe spaces where species and habitats can be protected and thrive in, they are doing their part in working towards a healthier ocean.

The Woodland Trust is the UKs largest woodland conservation charity. They look after existing woods, plant new trees to build new ecosystems, and work hard to safeguard the homes of various species and thus helping to protect our environment.

The John Muir Trust is a Scottish conservation charity dedicated to protecting and enhancing wild places in the UK. It manages land sustainably, advocates for protective policies, and inspires community engagement with nature.

 

Sourcing

Our teas are sourced from all over the world, primarily from China, Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Africa, and Taiwan.

Ethical Statement

We buy and source our teas from our specially selected partners. All our teas come from sources which ensure fair treatment of their staff through strict observance of human rights to a safe and sociable working environment. Although our teas are not certified Fair Trade, we only work with partners which adhere to our own ethical expectations.

Organic

It's important to us to provide the best quality tea available and sometimes an organic version is not always available. We do have some teas which are available as organic and these are identified with organic in their name.

We are registered, audited and certified by the Soil Association in the UK. 

We are a small family business doing our best to make a difference. We are able to make big decisions and act on them quickly, and are always looking for ways to improve.
