Yunnan

Loose leaf

Contains caffeine

A speciality from the highland region of Yunnan. Large, golden-brown leaf and golden tips yield a copper-brown infusion with a well-balanced taste. Slightly sweet, spicy notes and a soft, delicate smoky finish.

Ok tea.

Probably best as a breakfast tea with a splash of milk but ok without any time of the day.

yunnan

Yunnan is just my cup of tea! Slides down perfectly leaving me feel refreshed and warmed. it's not a bitter tea which suits me really well. I just have it on it's own and it's lovely.

I simply cannot find a more refreshing and delicate china tea than Yunnan. Perfect for me.

Absolutely delightful. I get about 6 or 7 of the black teas and they're all fantastic. I'm never drinking any other brand of tea again.

One of Shibui's Best

I've been experimenting, and tasting the black tea selection at Shibui for the past 2+ years: from the lighter blends, to the stronger ones, and from the high quality special occasion teas, to the everyday builders breakfast ones. I would say this is without a doubt the best black tea you can get. It's not a powerful Assam/Breakfast blend, nor is it a light and delicate Darjeeling, its something else: a perfect balance between the two. Its versatility allows you to decide how you want to drink it no matter the occasion: from adding over the recommended limit of heaped teaspoons and brewing for 5 minutes to chug in your Sports Direct mug, to a finely crafted ceremonial sip where you can imagine you're the ultimate tea connoisseur, experiencing the depth and aromas this wonderful tea provides. This Yunnan will upgrade your tea game so much, you honestly won't look back.

Give it a try, this is a top, top tea.

I love this tea.

The finest tea? Maybe.

Whether this is in fact the world's greatest tea may be open to debate, especially for those who also like the golden Nepal from Shibui. That said, Yunnan is close to shangri-la, with depth of flavour, good strength, and all the attendant joys of Shibui tea, who use recyclable packaging and are generally lovely. Highly recommend, my current favourite tea.

One of my favs

I love this tea. It’s naturally fragrant - like raisins or stone fruit - to me. It can take a little milk, which is how I drink it. It’s smooth and not at all bitter but it has a lot of character and flavour for a tea that’s a single variety.
