On opening one of the packets of Shibui's Tippy Assam Tea I was rewarded with a lovely sweet, strong aroma from the leaves which is characteristic of Second Flush Assam. This tea is full bodied, smooth and sweet. A very good quality tea and not overly expensive. Will I purchase it again? I daresay I will.
This is the best yet, a TRUE tea and NOT the dry powder tea of competitors, nearly finished the Tippy Assam and will be ordering more, not worried about the price because you get what you pay and that's quality and good service
Lovely tea. More expensive than the teal eaves I get from the supermarket but it is proper tealeaves not dusty. Love the fact they the company is going plastic free. The service is super fast!
Excellent - I'll be back for more
I was given some of this tea as a Christmas gift last year and loved it from the first cup to the last. Bought to reffil my caddy.
A delicious full bodied tea. The real deal
The table below shows the approximate brewing/infusing times for the different tea types.
It assumes around a 2.5 to 3g serving but it is not an exact science so experiment to find the perfect brew time to suit you.
It is best to use freshly boiled water - so if you've got some water left in your kettle from before - pour it out and start again!
|Tea Type||Approx Brewing Time (mins)||Water Temperature|
If you don't have a fancy kettle which heats the water to different temperatures then a tip to for brewing green & white teas is to put the boiling water into the teapot or mug first and then add the tea. It will have cooled down a bit just by touching the cold teapot. That's what I do anyway...
