This green tea is delicious, light, refreshing, and not bitter when brewed to the correct time (unlike a lot of green teas) and is my new favourite. I like that the packaging is biodegradable/ compostable or recyclable, and I especially love that buying from here supports a local business. I ordered this tea and the hojicha, and they both arrived within 12 days of ordering it, which was extremely fast considering this is a one-man team working in a pandemic. The hand written thank you and the two sample teas were a lovely touch, as was the humorous placemat. I will be ordering from here again when I have run out. Excellence all around!
Wonderful refreshing Sencha
This is the best Sencha tea I had outside of Japan. Love the grassy smell of it.
Wonderful variety, fantastic quality and excellent service. The tea's all taste amazing and are some of the best I have ever tried!
The table below shows the approximate brewing/infusing times for the different tea types.
It assumes around a 2.5 to 3g serving but it is not an exact science so experiment to find the perfect brew time to suit you.
It is best to use freshly boiled water - so if you've got some water left in your kettle from before - pour it out and start again!
|Tea Type||Approx Brewing Time (mins)||Water Temperature|
If you don't have a fancy kettle which heats the water to different temperatures then a tip to for brewing green & white teas is to put the boiling water into the teapot or mug first and then add the tea. It will have cooled down a bit just by touching the cold teapot. That's what I do anyway...
