I am not a tea or coffee drinker and I have been looking for something to replace it for ages. I came across this tea at Soderberg and loved how much flavour it had!!!!! Unlike a lot of fruit tea I had tried which just tasted like mildly sweet hot water. The first Shibui tea I tried was berry hibiscus and loved it that much I ordered one of each fruit tea flavour and was not disappointed. Loooove the cherry pie. Super speedy delivery, great packaging, great price.
New favourite cherry tea
Absolutely love the Cherry Pie tea, was recommended it in my local church cafe & had to buy some for home! Tried lots of other herbal & fruit teas & most of them taste like boiled water but this really does taste strongly of cherry pie, quite sweet too so helps with reducing my sugar intake! Can’t wait to try more!
The table below shows the approximate brewing/infusing times for the different tea types.
It assumes around a 2.5 to 3g serving but it is not an exact science so experiment to find the perfect brew time to suit you.
It is best to use freshly boiled water - so if you've got some water left in your kettle from before - pour it out and start again!
|Tea Type||Approx Brewing Time (mins)||Water Temperature|
If you don't have a fancy kettle which heats the water to different temperatures then a tip to for brewing green & white teas is to put the boiling water into the teapot or mug first and then add the tea. It will have cooled down a bit just by touching the cold teapot. That's what I do anyway...
