Shibui tea is served by the fancy caterers at my workplace whenever there are meetings, and of all the flavours I really took to the mint blend. It's quite a strong spearmint flavour, very refreshing indeed, and one I much prefer over the more commonplace mint tea brands. As a side note, one particular day at work I was suffering from a very unpleasant toothache, and was advised that mint tea contains a natural mild anaesthetic. So that was my drink of choice that day, and it really helped.
As I haven't actually been in my workplace for ten months now, I'd been missing my Shibui fix and other brands just didn't have that lovely spearmint flavour. And as I settled into working from home long-term, I couldn't for the life of me remember the brand name! Some judicious Googling finally furnished me with the answer, so I ordered the steel caddy option. It arrived the very next day, and a very nice-looking caddy it is too. The aroma that wafts up whenever I open it is fantastic - a strong spearmint smell that reminds me of the spearmint pips I used to love from the sweet shop as a child.
Also enclosed were a couple of free samples of other flavours and a nice handwritten delivery note. A nice personal touch that reminds us of the importance of supporting small businesses during these strange times. A friend was so impressed by the photo (below) I posted on Facebook that he promptly ordered some too!
So, all in all, a really lovely tea, delivered very promptly in environmentally friendly packaging with a nice personal touch. What's not to like?
