How to Brew

Gunpowder green tea with a mix of spearmint and peppermint. A refreshing green tea with a reduced caffeine element due to the amount of mint mixed in with the tea. Great after dinner.

Using cooled boiled water at approx. 80°C.
Best to brew below boiling - a quick tip - put the boiling water into the mug or teapot first then add the tea - the cold mug will take the sting out of the boiling water.

Having holidayed in Marrakesh and fallen in love with the Moroccan (Maghrebi) tea I tried to find it on my return home. Amazing the number of so called Moroccan teas out there that I can only assume have been blended by someone who has never been, never tasted it, or is hoping their customer hasn't. For the avoidance of any doubt, traditional Moroccan tea is made with *spearmint* and not peppermint (even if it may have a little of the latter added). Thankfully that is exactly how Shibui make their Moroccan tea which is as close as I can find to what I was drinking out there. My only problem now is the speed I am getting through teabags! Excellent service and I am happy to concur with a previous review that the best thing is for your first order include the steel caddy to keep your tea in.

Moroccan Mint

Lovely and refreshing mint tea; a good aid to digestion that tastes really nice.

My daughter visited Morocco a few years ago and raved about the mint tea she had. Having searched for recommendations this item was the one that seemed to have the closest taste to what she had on holiday.
She agreed so it’s a nice gift for her now and then and brings back memories for her. Thank you.

Perfection

It is very difficult in the UK to find a supposed Moroccan Mint Tea blend that uses Spearmint instead of Peppermint. The difference is truly a thing of wonder. The Shibui blend uses a blend of Spearmint/Peppermint that is as close to perfection as you are going to find on this island. As a hint - but the tea caddy and then refills. Its great!
