Tropical Green Iced Tea Recipe

As the weather gets warmer, we want our drinks to get colder and what better way to relax than with an easy-to-make homemade iced green tea. The best part about this recipe is that it doesn’t require overnight chilling, so you can enjoy this iced tea whenever the craving strikes without having to plan ahead.

Experiment with tea quantities and brewing times to see what suits you best!

Recipe makes approx. 4 drinks.

Ingredients:

Method: Make a concentrated brew
  1. Boil 400ml of water
  2. Add 12 grams of Tropical Green Loose leaf tea or 4 tea bags to a jug and pour boiling water over.
  3. Steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Strain your loose leaf infusion (using a sieve)/remove tea bags.
  5. Add approximately 2.5 tablespoons of agave syrup/sugar.
  6. Pour over crushed ice and top up with chilled still or sparkling water. Add more agave syrup/sugar if required.
  7. Garnish with sliced lemons or any fresh fruit of your choice.

Tropical Green Cold Brew
A cold brew is just as easy to make, but needs a little more planning. So when you see the weather picking up a bit, start creating this simple 3-step infusion.
  1. In a large bottle or jar, add 9 grams/3 tea bags of Tropical Green tea.
  2. Fill with 750ml of cold water and leave to brew overnight.
  3. Strain, and pour into a glass over ice.
