Sorry to say I was very disappointed with this. The leaves are so big they block the spout of my teapot. Also it is very weak though this isn't a huge problem for me but would be for some.
I like the fact of all the packaging being biodegradable and it being ethically sourced.
Perhaps you can suggest a more suitable loose decaff tea I could try?
I often feel like decaf is a bit duller and a bit more tasteless than regular tea but this is delicious. Can't tell the difference without the undesired side effects of caffeine. Will definitely buy again
Excellent service but the tea was not to my taste. Found it very weak despite brewing for 5minutes
Lovely tasting tea. Order arrived quickly. Many thanks.
I ordered this to drink in the evenings but I have found that it is very weak in comparison to the normal tea. I guess this is to be expected as its decaf but I cant quite get the same taste and fragrance. Its still good and I will continue to enjoy it in the evenings!
edit: i've seen some people comment it takes a little longer to brew so i'll give that a go.
Having tried several decaff teas, this is definitely the best. Does take at least 7 minutes to brew in the teapot, don't rush it!
The table below shows the approximate brewing/infusing times for the different tea types.
It assumes around a 2.5 to 3g serving but it is not an exact science so experiment to find the perfect brew time to suit you.
It is best to use freshly boiled water - so if you've got some water left in your kettle from before - pour it out and start again!
|Tea Type||Approx Brewing Time (mins)||Water Temperature|
If you don't have a fancy kettle which heats the water to different temperatures then a tip to for brewing green & white teas is to put the boiling water into the teapot or mug first and then add the tea. It will have cooled down a bit just by touching the cold teapot. That's what I do anyway...
